You were created by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense. It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny.
I have created this web page called “WHY AM I ON EARTH” because I don’t want to see others die without Jesus Christ.
- You Were Created to Become Like Christ
- You Were Planned for God’s Pleasure
- You Were Formed for God’s Family
- You Were Shaped to Serve God
- You Were Made for a Mission
- You Matter to God
For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible… everything got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him. — Colossians 1:16
It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny. Every other path leads to a dead end.
If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)
Did you know — The word “love” appears 310 times in the King James Bible, 348 times in the New American Standard Bible, 551 times in the New International Version and 538 times in the New Revised Standard Version.
1 Corinthians 13 | LOVE | verse 4 – 8 and verse 13 | Love is pasient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; Love is not ill-mannerered or selfish or irritable; Love does not keep a record of wrongs. 6. Love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. 6. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope and patience never fail.
UNDERSTAND WHY YOU EXIST — Your purpose is about God, not you. Today, we’re surrounded by mass media messages that tell us to look within ourselves for answers. We pursue earthly successes that’re empty and temporary. You were placed on earth for God’s cosmic purposes, which stretch into eternity. The only way to reveal your purpose is through a relationship with Christ. Don’t try to use God for your purpose; let God use you for His purposes instead.
The Bible brings us God’s good news (also called the “gospel”). This announces to all men, woman and children that God, being rich in mercy, provided a way for men to enter Heaven. The Bible tells us in John 3:16 that:
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
If you are ready, we encourage you to take a leap of faith and give your life to Jesus Christ.
You can pray right now. It doesn’t need to be anything scripted. Just pray these things from your heart:
- Admit you are a sinner in need of forgiveness.
- Confess your sins.
- Thank Him for Jesus’ death on the cross that paid the price for your sins.
- Ask Him to be Lord of your life.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I’m sorry for the wrong things I’ve done. Please forgive me. I believe your Son died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead, and because of this I will enter into heaven when I die. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I willingly give you my life. Now, Father, help me do your will. Thank you again for saving me! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
SALVATION IS FOR ALL
“If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9) .
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5)
If you decided to repent of your sins and receive Christ today, welcome to God’s family. Now, as a way to grow closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.
Get baptized as commanded by Christ, then…
- Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
- Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
- Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
- Find a local church where you can worship God.
Salvation by faith
In contrast, Jesus talked very often about faith – at least 27 examples given in the gospels: Matthew 8:10, Matthew 8:26, Matthew 9:2, Matthew 9:22, Matthew 9:29, Matthew 14:31, Matthew 15:28, Matthew 16:8, Matthew 17:20, Matthew 21:21, Mark 2:5, Mark 4:40, Mark 5:34, Mark 10:52, Mark 11:22, Luke 5:20, Luke 7:9, Luke 7:50, Luke 8:25, Luke 8:48, Luke 12:28, Luke 17:5, Luke 17:6, Luke 17:19, Luke 18:8, Luke 18:42, Luke 22:32
A careful examination of John 3:5-7 reveals that when Jesus’ referred to being “born of water” He was talking about the physical birth (“born of the flesh”), in contrast to being “born of the Spirit” or “born again.” Jesus Himself never baptized anyone to our knowledge, although the disciples did baptize under His command. In all of His interactions with people, Jesus was never recorded as commanding anyone to be baptized, although He often commended people for their faith. It would seem that if baptism were required for salvation that Jesus would have made some mention of it. We conclude that faith, rather than baptism, is required for salvation, although the dutiful Christian will be baptized in obedience to Jesus command in Matthew 28:19.
The Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31)
19 There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ 25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ 27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ 29″ Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’ 30″ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ 31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead’ (Luke 16:19-31 Emphasis mine).
